Airbox Fastplan is the companion planning software to Airbox navigation systems. Fastplan is provided free of charge to all registered customers who have purchased Airbox Clarity and Foresight hardware platforms and is available for purchase to Aware Plus users.
Fastplan allows you to plan routes from your home or office PC and transfer those routes, along with flight logs, user waypoints and other data, to and from your Airbox navigation system.
The essence of Fastplan is its simplicity. Essential functions have been made intuitive, so that planning your route becomes a joy rather than a chore.
The first part of a pilot’s planning process involves looking at their map to ascertain where and how they are going to get to their ultimate destination. Fastplan allows users to quickly and accurately pan around any of the charts they have loaded on their system. Smooth scrolling, zooming and the ability to switch chart types make the planning process a pleasure from the start. You can drag the map around, pan around using the arrow keys much the same way as you might navigate about Google Earth.
The Search function gives rapid results; anything from airfields, to VRPs, postcodes, user waypoints and IFR intersections can be retrieved, plotted and displayed at the touch of a button.
• Pan and zoom the map simply by dragging it with your mouse
• Access important functions quickly through the tool bar
• Search for airfields, VRPs, Navaids and User Waypoint
• Print sections of chart with your route

Airbox Aerospace’s all new Clarity 2.0 is a feature-packed navigation system with outstanding 800 x 480 pixel five inch screen, ultra-fast processor and a revolutionary user interface with virtual keyboard data entry.
Clarity 2.0 is the ultimate aviation GPS for planning and navigating VFR flights, using charts pilots will instantly recognise whilst enhancing situational awareness before and during a flight. The Airbox enhanced user-interface makes complex route planning second nature; type in an ICAO identifier or airfield name and your destination is set, press and click the map to add airspace avoiding waypoints.
The planning process really couldn’t be any simpler. Clarity 2.0 comes with the powerful PC desktop flight-planner, Fastplan allowing far more complex route planning to take place from the comfort of your own home. With Fastplan, users can download the latest weather and NOTAMs, update charts the moment they’re released and make weight and balance calculations which are then conveniently compiled into a handy, printable flight pack. Flightplans can be filed instantly using Rocket Route’s filing services backed up by a 24/7 support team (Service currently operational in Europe only)
In flight, Clarity 2.0 presents the pilot only with the information vital to their flight. And nothing more than that because Airbox believes in not over featuring its products but instead making systems that don’t confuse or baffle the aviator. We really want this to be the easiest GPS you’ve ever used!
Stored routes can be loaded from the system memory, current routes edited in-flight with ease and if the need arises, a nearest airfields option can be selected to take the edge off any situation. A complete 3D terrain database is available to give a heads-up on terrain ahead up to 20NM away from your current position. The Clarity 2.0 will warn pilots of any potential airspace infringements up to five minutes ahead of the aircraft’s current position. All warnings are relative to the aircraft’s flight level and take into consideration whether the aircraft is climbing, descending or drifting towards airspace. The data that produces the airspace updates is updated every 28 days in accordance with the AIRAC cycle and provided free by Airbox Aerospace for the life of the product.
On approach and within 10NM of your final destination, extended runway centre-lines are produced easing the pilot into a precision approach. Geo-referenced Approach plates for airfields (where available) can be quickly accessed showing detailed runway layouts, dimensions and useful information for your destination.
Clarity 2.0 logs all your flights so you have a useful record of previous activities. When synced with Fastplan, the flight data is transferred to your PC and can be viewed on the Fastplan map screen or in Google Earth.
Each unit comes with suction mount, 12/24v power supply cable, plug socket for charging in the home, USB cable and SD card reader (for data transfers between the Clarity 2.0 and a PC or laptop), and a copy of Fastplan PC desktop flight-planning software.
UK ICAO 1:500,000 and ABX Vector charts covering the whole of Europe are installed as standard on each unit with many other global chart options available. Pilots are able to instantly cross reference their position on the GPS with the paper chart beside them.

This is the all new and upcoming SkyDemon Mobile MD GPS, a revolution in the world of aviation GPS. It’s the first 5” navigation device to be offered below £1000 and the power of its software is equivalent to high-end panel-mounted devices. VFR pilots using the Mobile MD in conjunction with SkyDemon Plan (included) have more briefing data available in flight than many commercial pilots.
Adaptive Charts: SkyDemon charts are unique and proprietary, and offer many benefits over static charts designed for printing. There is no per-chart cost and charts for most of Europe are included in the price. They offer a consistent depiction of features for all countries and can be rotated so track is up without loss of quality or legibility. They adapt themselves to your flight profile, hiding unnecessary detail for a much clearer screen.
Virtual Radar: This technology pioneered in SkyDemon sends out virtual pings along your route ahead, returning information about the terrain, airspace, NOTAM, obstructions and other features along your trajectory. It’s updated every few seconds, shown in the window below the main map and customers love the situational awareness it brings. It powers onscreen warnings about approaching airspace, NOTAM, obstacles, terrain and more.
Weather Briefing: Unlike any other GPS, the SkyDemon can tell you what the wind is (forecast to be) doing outside the aircraft, as you fly. It can tell you how much head or tailwind there is, and about all observed and forecast weather conditions at any airfield near to the route you are flying. All this information is loaded onto the unit before takeoff when connected to SkyDemon Plan (included). TAF and METAR can be fully decoded onscreen.
NOTAM Briefing and Plotting: A full NOTAM briefing can be obtained on the device itself, even if your plans change and you decide to take a different route. In addition, SkyDemon interprets NOTAM warnings and can usually depict them in fine detail on the charts, showing (for example) Red Arrows transits and temporary restrictions.
Other USPs: The Instrument View offers an alternative to the chart view for pilots who prefer to fly purely on instruments, and is centred around a large HSI instrument. Nearby Air Traffic Services provides an instant list of people you can talk to on the radio at your current position. Our own airfield plates offer runway layout, contact details and other information for many airfields on the chart. A live PLOG shows your progress through your route.
